Active Skills
Active skills (with the exception of Growl!) are learned from taming wild beasts who already know the skill. Growl, however, is learned from the pet trainer.
Passive Skills
Passive skills are learned from the pet trainer.
Fake Skills
So-called 'fake' pet skills only appear on pets during the level 10 taming quests and cannot be learned by hunters.
